TPND – EUROPEAN VAMPIRE

A wing of bats composed of photographic softboxes rotates like a spaceship. It gets closer and closer. In the starry darkness of space, an eye scans two artists intent on waiting for the perfect shot. Accompanied by a bored look and a thirst for poetry more than blood, European Vampire must seem to be waiting for the perfect moment to capture, but only with an icy gaze.

A sweet voice begins to sing over a rhythmic background; it's the voice of European Vampire: N'aie pas peur je prendrai soin de toi Pour toujours. Oat the eye is over folowing the pat of the heart, the cabin drifs avay like an egs in space.

IDEA:

As directors, we conceived and scripted this video with the idea of a potential reflection emanating from inside a flash that captures these two vampires in a studio. The casing evolves, resembling a mechanical chrysalis with bat-like wings, transforming it into a spaceship.

Drawing inspiration from Bowie and Leonardo Da Vinci, we aimed to blend their innovative spirits. Our intention was to keep pushing forward and work on three levels of a kaleidoscope, aiming to create the perception of infinite depth in space.

EUROPEAN VAMPIRE:

Who is European Vampire? Indeed, what is European Vampire? The tormented soul of an artist, a semi-God, the cursed destiny of Chet Baker in the dim light of a high fashion afterparty, the actor who drives with his headlights off against his destiny in a Fellini-esque Roman night, or perhaps the embodiment of the decadence and moral corruption of our society?
All this, but more simply a duo (and collective) that shouts and whispers stories to us, sometimes raw, sometimes enigmatic, over voluptuous Deep House beats with cinematic tension.

Hedonistic, evanescent and elusive, the Vampire is the antithesis of the fallen angel of the ruthless music industry. First a sinner, then a corrupter, and finally a redeemed and a redeemer. As in a concept album, the tracks follow one another by tracing
snapshots of a journey of enlightenment, of sins and virtues, of love and desperation. Now adopting the seduction of the French language, now the burning immediacy of the English one.
